Historic Buildings in Stoke-on-Trent - 5

This is the Anderton Wharf building which towers over the Trent & Mersey Canal in Middleport, near Burslem.  The building is next door to Middleport Pottery which was my previous SC image - http://urban8photo.shutterchance.com/photoblog/Middleport_Pottery/ - and you can see this building on that shot too on the right-hand side. 

You can also see on that image how badly neglected the whole wooden structure is as the sun shines through it - or how bad it was as the structure has very recently been restored using Heritage Lottery grant funding and has been painted in the original bright red paint.  And it really brings out the lovely woodwork at the top too.
